Babywearing
Babywearing/babycarrying is the term used to cover all manner of carrying your baby or child with a “carrier”, this may be a simple ring sling, a beautiful woven, a structured buckle carrier or one of the many other options.

Babywearing can provide help at many different stages and for many different reasons, I’ve listed just a few below:
- Reflux/colic relief
- Juggling multiple children’s needs
- Breastfeeding/bottle feeding (make dinner and feed your baby!)
- Free your arms
- Get out and about more easily/quickly
- Regulation of breathing/heart rate/temperature/stress levels
- Access to places prams aren’t suitable for (or simply don’t fit… ever been shopping in a crowded department store with a pram?!)
- Keeping an older baby/toddler/child safe in a busy or public space
- Helping with limited/restricted mobility
- Save your boot space for… well anything! Dogs, shopping, bikes
- 4th trimester
- Providing security for an older baby/child who is feeling overwhelmed
- Covering up the stains on your tshirt!
There are so many more reasons, perhaps you’d like to add some. Me, I’ve got 3 kids and a short time window for typing, so I’ve left it there for now.
